I graduated from Guy’s Hospital in London in 1992 and after holding two hospital appointments at Guys, I moved to work in General Dental Practice in Sarisbury Green, Southampton. I opened Whiteley Dental Practice in December 1998 and it has gone from strength to strength. I regularly attend post-graduate courses to keep up to date and the most recent was the McIndoe Clinic Live Skills Course in Implantology.
I regularly attend post-graduate courses to keep up to date and the most recent ones have been on Facial Aesthetics.

Jenny Capewell BDS
I graduated from Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1995, and after practicing for a short while in Hedge End followed my husband to Whiteley Dental Practice. I have taken three short maternity breaks over the last few years, and now combine a hectic home life with my busy clinical sessions at the practice.
To ensure I keep up to date with all aspects of dentistry, I regularly attend various post graduate meetings. |

Freddie Hall B ChD graduated from The University of Pretoria in July 1999. I ran my own practice in South Africa for 2 years before coming to the UK. I have an interest in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry, and have recently attended a course on Dental Implantology.
Whenever I can, I enjoy a round of golf and enjoy watching Grand Prix races old and new! |

Brenda Bax – I gained my National Certificate for Dental Nurses in 1975, and was among the first Dental Nurses to be accepted to follow the Oral Health Educator’s course in 1977. I have worked in general practice since then savouring some time to have my three children during this period.
I came to Whiteley Dental Practice in 1999 after meeting Jenny and Ian in a previous local practice. I completed the Higher BTEC in Dental Practice Management, and now enjoy the challenge of day to day practice

Di Pascoe EDH – I am the ‘other’ Dental Hygienist at Whiteley. RAF trained, I qualified in 1960 – yes really that long ago! I am currently trying to decide if I should try for the Guinness Book of Records! Throughout I have retained an enthusiasm and interest in both the clinical and educational aspects of my profession (and NO it is not job!).
I would describe myself as a ‘people person’ and a good communicator. |

Sharon -I am the ‘Welsh One’ - I have been in dentistry since leaving school. I qualified as a dental nurse in 1990 before going on to qualify as an Oral Health Educator in 1991. After having my 2 children, I qualified as a Dental Hygienist with the Tutor’s Prize at The Eastman Dental Hospital in 2003.
I regularly undertake Post Graduate training to keep up to date with new regulations and procedures

Laura - I have worked at Whiteley Dental Practice for 10 years.
After leaving college at 18, I trained and qualified as a riding instructor. After having my three children, I decided to train as a Dental Nurse. I qualified in 1999. I then furthered my professional qualifications as an Oral Health Educator and qualified in 2002.
I have two clinical sessions a week as well as nursing with Jenny Capewell and helping on the reception desk .
I have also started the Whiteley Dental Diamonds Netball Team through the kind sponsorship of Ian Capewell. We Currently play in the Fareham and Gosport League

Charlotte - I started my dental career working in an orthodontic practice. However, to widen my knowledge and gain more experience in general dentistry and I joined Whiteley Dental Practice as a trainee Dental Nurse in 2008. I studied Part time at Highbury college and gained my qualification in October 2009. I currently work 3 days a week nursing for Freddie.

Pauline I qualified in London in 1972 while living in St Albans. I enjoyed working in St Albans/ Harley Street, then in Gosport before a 10 year break to have a family. I have been working with Ian since 1994, and helped him to open this surgery in Whiteley in 1998.
I have attended several update nursing courses and more recently enjoyed the Dental Implant Nurse’s training in London.

Sandra- I have been at Whiteley Dental Practice for 5 years. Previously I have trained as a Registered General Nurse at UCH London and then qualified as a midwife in 1986. Apart from having my children I have always worked in the nursing environment. I qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2006 at Highbury College and maintain my professional development by personal study and study days.
I nurse with Jenny and regularly help on reception.

Glenda - I started my career in General Nursing before the birth of my daughter, and then worked as a Post Office Clerk for 10 years looking for more sociable hours. I was given the opportunity to go into Dental Nursing in 2004, and qualified in 2006. I had been a patient at Whiteley practice since 1994 and when the opportunity arose to work here I grabbed it with both hands.
I particularly like the added patient contact of working on reception

Sarah I have worked at the practice for almost 3 years, but took a short break to have my third child Daniel (another boy) who is now 1 year old.
Since my qualification in 1997, I have worked up and down the country including Harley Street, which was an experience meeting rich and famous patients!
I enjoy working with Freddie here on a Thursday and Friday - it keeps me sane! |
