I qualified as a dental nurse in 1974 and its come a long way since then! I have a specialist interest in implant nursing. When my children were growing up I worked with people with special needs which I found very rewarding. I enjoy horse riding, walking my greyhound Reg and spending time with my grandchildren who are very entertaining.

My husband as he constantly makes me laugh! Oh, and a pair of tweezers for personal grooming…

On a long haul flight, who would you like to sit next to from any period in history?
They are not from history but between Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe. Not what you are thinking but we could talk about our mutual love of horses……

What is you least favourite vegetable and why?
Mushroom – too slimey.

If you could be any fictional character who would you choose and why?
Mary Poppins: practically perfect in everyway!

What is your favourite film?
Notting Hill for obvious reasons.

What do you have an irrational fear of?
The dark

What did you buy with your first pay cheque?
A guitar for my husband who was then my boyfriend

If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?
To be able to go back in time so I could tell all the people I have lost how much I love them.

If you didn’t work here, what would your ideal job be?
Work with horses
